At Clinton Alignment, Brake & Muffler Center, we know our business is only as healthy as our customers are happy, so we work hard to provide consistently excellent work and stellar customer service. In most cases, that's as simple as treating customers the way we would like to be treated—with honesty, respect, and kindness. It also means bringing together a team of hardworking, dependable players.
Phil Shaw grew up in Camanche, Iowa, and graduated from Camanche High School in 1982. By then, he already knew he loved working on cars. He’d joined Clinton Alignment in 1980 as a technician, and he’s never left the business! In 1995, he bought the shop, once owned by his father-in-law, Doug Hewer, who also gave him the nickname “Phriendly Phil.”
Phil and Pam were high school sweethearts. They married in 1985, the same year Pam graduated from Mt. St. Clare College with a degree in Business and Accounting. (At the shop, Pam performs all of the accounting services.) Phil and Pam are blessed with twins, Matthew and Amanda. Pam often refers to Phil as the “Last Boy Scout.”
Matt followed in his father’s footsteps, showing signs of a love for auto repair at an early age. He joined Clinton Alignment in 2005, and we have to say, for a young technician, he has a wealth of knowledge. Matt is extensively trained and dedicated to learning everything about vehicle repair. A lifelong Clinton area resident, he currently resides in Clinton with his wife, Megan.
Jeff Shaw Jr., is the most recent addition to our shop family. He is a 2014 graduate of Camanche High School and lifelong Camanche resident. Jeff is proving to be a great asset to the team and he is willing to work on anything that is thrown his way. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys hanging out with his friends and family.
